CONTEST WINNERS
Winners have now been drawn in our FREE FUEL contest. The three recipients, each receiving 350 litres of gasoline or diesel, are:
Don Coller & Marlene Savage - Trout Lake, BC
Doug & Jackie Ward - Barriere, BC
Tim & Laurie Hill - Slocan, BC
Congratulations to the winners and thank-you to everyone who entered. Customer John Klassen drew the winning names and unfortunately (for him) couldn't find his own name among the several hundred entries. Thank-you to John for sharing the blame!
CARDLOCK NEWS
We are very pleased to welcome Art & Karen Collins to the Sicamous Petro-Canada location. We encourage you to stop in and visit the Sicamous site. It looks great and you couldn't meet a friendlier group of people.
A second marked diesel pump is now in service at the Nakusp cardlock. Customers had requested the change to alleviate line-up problems during peak periods and we are pleased that we could accommodate this request.
Card-Readers have recently been upgraded at Slocan, Merritt and Kamloops (Valleyview) to provide greater reliability for customers. We are frequently told that our network reliability is much higher than the competition but, if you experience problems, please let us know so that we can take action. To report any problems or make a suggestion, our detailed contact information is found at http://www.castlefuels.ca/contact.html or you can find a survey link at our home page.
FUEL PRICES
No we won't avoid this topic. Fuel prices have climbed this winter and (like you) we are hoping to see a correction soon. Our inventory and receivable costs are up and our trucking costs increase just like yours. If there is good news, it is that fuel prices are significantly lower than at the same time last year. While we can't make any expert predictions, we do know that diesel prices peaked in mid-March last year and dropped through most of the summer. We are certainly hoping for a repeat of this scenario. If you find the whole pricing topic confusing or frustrating, we encourage you to check out the articles on our website - http://www.castlefuels.ca/fuel_prices.html
LUBRICANTS
We have been able to make some small price reductions on a few fast-selling lubricant products. Duratran (tractor trans/hydraulic fluid) and our Hydrex (hydraulic oils) will be a little less expensive this spring at Castle Fuels locations. Petro-Canada continues to pile up awards and testimonials acknowledging the premium performance of their lubricants. You won't find better value anywhere.
If you are interested in a recommendation for a gasoline engine oil, please review the article at http://www.castlefuels.ca/news.html
OTHER NEWS
We are receiving more and more online payments . We are now set up with all of the major banks and credit unions so if you are interested, you will find Castle Fuels in the list of vendors on your bank's online system.
Have a great spring!
